Texas-born chicken brand continues expansion into all-new market with new franchisee
Golden Chick has officially expanded into Kansas, marking a major milestone for the beloved Texas-born brand. Located at 1705 S. Webb Road in Wichita, the restaurant is minutes away from Towne East Square in the southeast area of the city and offers easy access as well as a flavorful new option for hungry commuters, families and fried chicken lovers alike.
The new restaurant is owned and operated by Adam Abusaleh, a first-time Golden Chick franchisee and entrepreneur eager to introduce the brand to Wichita. Golden Chick’s expansion into Kansas is a thoughtful extension of its concentric growth strategy, allowing the brand to strengthen its presence in existing markets while gradually extending its reach to neighboring cities and states. With Wichita’s current growth rate, the city was a natural choice for the quick-service brand. While the brand has recently expanded across the South, deeper into Louisiana and Mississippi, the new Wichita restaurant sets into motion future opportunities to grow in Northern territories.
“We are thrilled to welcome Adam to the Golden Chick family and to celebrate our brand’s debut in the great state of Kansas,” said Brian Loescher, president of Golden Chick Franchising. “New franchisees like Adam bring passion and a fresh perspective, which is extremely valuable for our brand as we continue to grow and evolve. We can’t wait for Wichita guests to experience everything Golden Chick has to offer.”
Founded in Texas in 1967, Golden Chick has grown to over 240 locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, and now Kansas. Popular in the South for its unique chicken offerings and irresistible flavor, Golden Chick continues to win over new communities with its signature menu.
