Texas-born chicken concept opens its 107th DFW area location
One year after marking its milestone 100th Metroplex opening, locally headquartered Golden Chick continues its upward trajectory with the welcoming of its 107th DFW location. Located at 11919 Abrams Road, on the northeast corner of Abrams and I-635, the new restaurant brings Golden Chick’s signature flavors to a growing base of loyal fans in Dallas’ vibrant Lake Highlands neighborhood.
Chris Aslam, one of the brand’s leading franchisees, CEO of franchise group, Best of Cluck LLC, and chairman of the Texas Restaurant Association, will own and operate the new location. This is Aslam’s ninth Golden Chick operation, in addition to a portfolio of additional franchise concept locations.
“Chris truly embodies what it means to be a successful restaurant operator,” said Brian Loescher, President of Golden Chick Franchising. “He leads some of our highest-performing locations and consistently upholds the high standard of quality and care that defines our brand. Beyond that, he’s a deeply engaged franchisee and a respected figure in the Texas food and beverage community.”
The latest opening is another step forward in Golden Chick’s ambitious expansion strategy. With 16 new locations launched in 2025 alone, the Texas-born brand is already outpacing last year’s growth total of 14 restaurants, now operating more than 240 restaurants across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and most recently, Kansas. Loescher adds, “2025 will be a landmark year for our brand. We will surpass 250 total locations and will welcome more new locations than ever before.”
Customers are welcome to stop by the new Golden Chick location starting today to enjoy Golden Chick’s classics, including fan-favorite Golden Tenders®, spicy Wicked Wings, Golden Roast Chicken, hand-breaded fried chicken, fresh-baked Yeast Rolls, and the Big & Golden® Chicken Sandwich.
