Golden Chick has officially opened a new restaurant in Ferris, Texas, continuing the brand’s rapid 2026 expansion across North Texas and beyond. Located at 420 W. 6th Street, the restaurant is Golden Chick’s first in Ferris, giving local guests a new place to enjoy the brand’s signature menu favorites.
The Ferris opening comes just weeks after Golden Chick celebrated its 250th restaurant opening in Little Elm on Feb. 17, further building on a period of strong development for the Texas-born brand. The Ferris restaurant also opened on the same day as a new Golden Chick in Eagle Pass, reflecting the brand’s broad geographic reach across Texas communities.
“Ferris is an exciting addition to our portfolio of restaurants and another meaningful step in Golden Chick’s 2026 growth story,” said Mark Parmerlee, CEO of Golden Chick. “Ferris marks our 105th restaurant in the DFW area, speaking to the strength of our home market. Opening in Ferris and Eagle Pass on the same day shows how broadly the brand continues to resonate across Texas.”
The Ferris restaurant is owned and operated by first-time franchisee Salah Alrounsan, a Dallas-area resident making his debut with the brand. As Golden Chick continues to attract new franchisee talent, the opening reflects continued interest in the concept from operators looking to grow with a legacy Texas brand known for variety, quality and strong community appeal.

Guests can visit the new Ferris restaurant for Golden Chick favorites like the Original Golden Tenders®, Big & Golden® Chicken Sandwich and fresh-baked Golden Rolls™, along with the brand’s Lent seafood lineup available through April 12. For a limited time, that includes Butterfly Shrimp and seafood combo options such as the six-piece Butterfly Shrimp Combo, 10-piece Butterfly Shrimp Combo, Butterfly Shrimp and Catfish Combo, and Surf and Turf Combo.
The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
