Golden Chick has expanded its local footprint once again with the opening of a new restaurant inside the Walmart at 6626 FM 1960 E in Humble, marking the brand’s fifth Houston-area opening of 2025 and its second in just over a week. The new location builds on Golden Chick’s rapid growth across Greater Houston and represents the brand’s fifth Walmart-based restaurant since debuting the format in 2024.
The restaurant provides a convenient, full-menu dining option for Walmart shoppers and nearby residents while expanding Golden Chick’s reach across third-party delivery and mobile ordering platforms.
The new Humble restaurant is owned and operated by existing Golden Chick franchisee, Ashley Alam, bringing her portfolio to four total Golden Chick locations in Greater Houston. Having opened her latest restaurant on Perry Road in Houston in early September, Alam has developed a strong reputation for delivering great food and excellent service to every guest within the market.

The restaurant will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., serving breakfast from 6–10:30 a.m. in addition to guest favorites like Original Golden Tenders®, homestyle Southern-style sides, spicy Wicked Wings, Golden Roast Chicken, crispy hand-breaded catfish and the Big & Golden® Chicken Sandwich. The breakfast menu includes a selection of hearty, savory offerings like the Honey Butter Tender Roll, and the Farmerito™ Breakfast Burrito with eggs, crispy chicken, bacon, sausage, cheese and and hashbrowns topped with Golden Chick’s signature Lotta Zing® sauce.
Golden Chick is also shaking things up with the all-new Spicy Pickle seasoning for a zesty, tangy kick and the fan-favorite return of Lemon Pepper (both available on wings and tenders through Jan. 4, 2026).
