The quick-service restaurant (QSR) franchise industry is thriving. If you’re hoping to make the most of it, you should first consider the franchise costs and fees associated with each available opportunity. You’re asking the right questions if you’re wondering, “How much does a quick-service franchise restaurant cost and what can I get for that investment?” After all, QSR investments can vary based on the level of financial commitment needed to own a franchise.
The Golden Chick team is here to answer your questions about what it takes to open a chicken restaurant franchise that can be the first choice for hungry customers. One of the distinct advantages of our franchise opportunity is that there are several franchising options available, each with its own price point. Here, we’ll take a brief look at the three Golden Chick franchise concepts.
New Freestanding Franchise Location
New freestanding locations are restaurants built from the ground up in locations specifically chosen to meet the needs of your community. Reasons for choosing these locations include demographics, ease of access and parking, level of competition, and other key factors. These new Golden Chick restaurants are typically located near other traffic generators, such as major grocery stores, home improvement chains, or other high-traffic areas.
Our freestanding locations have great potential because they’re built to our exact specifications and designed to last for decades. Because these restaurants are brand new, they represent the higher end of our chicken restaurant franchise investment and startup costs are between $893,870 and $1,348,500.
Oftentimes, existing buildings make great Golden Chick restaurants once they are converted. Converting a preexisting QSR building with Drive Thru into a freestanding Golden Chick franchise represents our most economical investment because construction costs will be lower than if you started from scratch.
An initial investment in this concept will cost between $440,950 and $838,000. There may even be leasing opportunities available, which could be a good way to lower your startup costs.
End Cap Location
An end cap location, much like a freestanding conversion, doesn’t typically require extensive construction. This is in part because they’re built into larger retail complexes like shopping centers and therefore don’t stand on their own. However, these endcap locations must have a Drive-Thru and the traffic flow to stack at least 8 vehicles.
These endcap locations are incorporated into existing spaces and cost between $445,950 and $846,000. Golden Chick does not enter new markets with end-cap locations because we only utilize this type of model in markets where the brand already has an established presence
